It all started when…
I was having a conversation with David Kellum prior to the 2018 college baseball season, when he brought to my attention that he and Jim Ellis at Mississippi State, as well as John Cox at Southern Miss, were all entering their 40th seasons broadcasting baseball for their schools.
This was a story that had to be told, had to be documented in some way. It will likely never happen again: three play-by-play announcers, at three schools, in the same state, running 40 years alongside one another.
